I was so excited
to start hair cutting week. I have cut Jed’s hair before and it was so much
fun! When I started cutting hair I was so scared I didn’t want to mess up (even
though it was on a doll head). We started off by learning
about the shears and everything. Then we started with a square one length. This
is where it is the same length with no layers or anything. We were all so
excited to cut our nappy doll heads hair off. It felt so much better after we
cut it.
I thought the
square one length was pretty easy and I thought I could totally do this on a
real person. Even though it was scary to make the first cut.
The second hair
cut that we did was round layers which I thought would not be cute but I really
like the look of these layers! I would love to do this on a real person! I got
the hang of it and felt comfortable doing it.
The third and
final hair cut that we did was a triangular graduation. It was so hard and I didn't
understand it. I'm not going to lie I might have given up on this haircut. I didn't
really like this hair cut because a graduation is the hardest kind of hair cut
in my opinion. I had to post a picture so one day I could laugh at how bad of a haircut I did. I know that I will get better, so don’t
judge me on this one quite yet.
After that we did
a men’s haircut. I was confident because I had cut Jed's hair a couple times, so
I knew what to do.
All in all cutting
week was more stressful than I thought it would be.There is a lot for me to learn still.

| Square one length. I know one side looks longer than the other, but if you pull it back to where it would lay on a real person it is as long as the other side. |
